Spooktober – Day 4: Am I A Believer?

*Cue The X-Files Theme*

I have just started The X-Files, but I feel it’s right to use their language to talk about this topic of ghosts and the supernatural in general. So look, I don’t want to be a Scully, okay? She can be stubborn and naive when it comes to the supernatural and I don’t want to be like that. But, I’m not a Mulder either. If you are one of the rare few who don’t speak The X-Files language, I’m saying that I don’t necessarily believe in ghosts, but I want to…

Believe me when I say I watch all the ghosts videos on YouTube. I love Buzzfeed Unsolved and their ghost hunting videos. I seen Shane Dawson and his conspiracy theories, along with his ghost hunting videos. Man, YouTubers really love ghost hunting videos, don’t they? I didn’t even mention the fact of all the ghost movies and all the many infamous ghost stories I have seen and read. So I’m open to be proven wrong and I badly want to, but I don’t think ghosts are real and there’s a simple explanation as to why I don’t.

I have never encountered ghosts or any type of supernatural beings myself. I seen videos of supposedly evidence that ghosts are real, but I have never personally been affected by ghosts. Therefore I don’t believe in them. If I had any experiences with ghosts for myself, I would jump on that Mulder train immediately, but that just hasn’t happened yet.

I hear all these stories where people have had experiences with ghosts, and I’m just like when will I finally have mine. I wanna be haunted too! I may regret that later if I ever do end up being haunted, but for now I mean it. I want to be proven wrong and see that there is other beings outside of just us. It’s weird being neither a believer or a nonbeliever, because it feels like you’re either on one side or another, but I just can’t pick a side in this fight. If I ever have my own ghost experience, my opinion will be changed immediately and you all will be the first to know.
