What Was the Best Year For Music?

Much like with television shows, narrowing down the best year within music can prove to be difficult. Because with the good there always a little bit of bad to go alongside with it. But, there are some years that are regarded and remembered overwhelmingly positive for their contributions to music. I have handpicked 5 years that has been remembered as either influential or remembered fondly within music.

Each of these years could reasonably be anybody’s favorite year of music. Or it maybe it’s a year that’s not even mentioned. That’s the great thing about music. Our favorite music we enjoy listening to is typically what we grew up listening to and everyone grows up listening to something unique to them and their experiences. Everyone has their own preference to what music they consider to be the best of all time. So comment down below what’s your favorite year for music. Is it a year listed above or is it another year I haven’t yet mentioned?

  1. I can’t name a favorite year (although these were all great). I agree with you about music associations, though. I can hear a song and have a vivid, all-senses memory of a certain time and place, usually coupled with a strong emotion. Especially love. Some songs I can no longer enjoy because they are associated with people I no longer associate with.
